I've been away this week - in Florida. Ah, sunny and warm, the good life. Not really. It has been mild and cloudy, but better than what I left my loved ones with - SNOW and lots of it! I think Rob has shoveled at least six times in a 24 hour period with minimal help from our robust 15 year old. I hope he doesn't curse me when I return!
Being away from the boys is always difficult. I miss them immensely. I thought that being away from the renovation would alleviate some stress and bring a much needed break from my high blood pressure (happens every time I enter the house!). Instead, I am yearning to see the progress that has been made daily since I left town. Rob keeps me apprised and the decisions continue. This week - pendant in powder room plus fan with light, or just fan with light. We chose the former. Sofit above the dining room/kitchen pass through cabinets or flush wall; corner mirror for master bath or.... The list, as you can see goes on and on. We made decisions about all these things and now when I get home at 11 p.m. on Sunday we have to decide on paint colors (because the contractors want to paint before the cabinets are installed - not something we were anticipating so soon).
As you can see from the pictures, much progress has been made. Spray insulation has been installed, sheet rock is up almost everywhere and our thermostat for the radiant floor heating for both bathrooms is up and running (yay!). Rob has continued to take pictures to document our "fast track" project, so we can share them with you. I can't wait to get home to see it all. Seeing the progress in person is very different from seeing it here. If you're in the neighborhood, give us a shout and will come over to show you around!
Until next time!
