There's no turning back now!

After five years of looking for a "better" house, Rob and I decided to ignore all the signs against it and invest in our 82 year old home -- after all, we love it...we just wished it had a little more space and was on a quieter street.

So, our kitchen & bath renovation began this week. Oh well, that's life in our established neighborhood in the City of Ithaca NY called Belle Sherman -- named after the elementary school which sits right across the street from our house. Since we're perched on Ithaca's East Hill, we have special views of the Ithaca College campus on South Hill, as well as points southwest, which make for some spectacular sunsets from the deck. Behind our house we have direct access to a nice city park, great for running our chocolate lab, Emma. All this less than mile to the Cornell University campus where I walk to work each day. All reasons why we wanted to stay in the neighborhood, despite the fact that our house was on a busy corner - we made the plunge.

Goodbye 3BR 1 and a quarter bath with an old and tired kitchen. Hello 3BR 2.5 bath with our dream kitchen! As I type this the walls and ceilings are gone and all the plumbing is ripped out...
there's no turning back now!

Below are some "before" pictures....take a good look folks, cause the end of an era has dawned!

Follow us on our "renovation journey" and share the transformation as it unfolds! More pics to come!
